For the 80th United Nations General Assembly, Shettima flies to New York

It is with much anticipation that Vice President Kashim Shettima leaves Abuja, Nigeria, for New York, USA, to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

A statement was released on Sunday in Abuja by Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, who is the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President).

According to the Naijatrial, the session is scheduled to take place from Monday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 28th.

At the global event, Shettima will deliver Nigeria’s national statement and participate in the UN high-level general debates, among other side events, according to Nkwocha. She is representing President Bola Tinubu.

At this year’s United Nations special event on climate, he said that the vice president would unveil Nigeria’s new NDCs, or Nationally Determined Contributions, in accordance with the Paris Agreement.
