Deedat, an adviser of Governor Sule, was allegedly kidnapped in Nasarawa

The guy known as Deedat, Muhammed Egye Osolafia, was reportedly abducted by armed men while serving as the Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule.

On Saturday night, Osolafia, an aide to the governor, allegedly arrived at his apartment in the Tudun Amba district of Lafia, the capital of the state, and was abducted.

According to reports, the assailants appeared in the area, started firing randomly into the air to instill panic in the locals, and then proceeded to their intended target.

Confirming the news to Daily Post, Mr. Peter Ahemba—the Senior Special Advisor to Governor Sule on Public Affairs—described the turn of events as tragic and regrettable. He went on to say that word of the kidnapping had reached him via a coworker.

Two months before to Osolafia’s kidnapping, Barrister Yusuf Musa, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Culture, was kidnapped from his home in Ungwan Nungu, Lafia.

SP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
