Tinubu is set to tackle Nigeria’s security issues – Obasa

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has voiced strong faith in President Bola Tinubu’s capability to revamp Nigeria’s security framework, despite ongoing insecurity across the nation.

During the APC Stakeholders and Progressives Governors Forum meeting at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, Obasa remarked that the president’s current reforms reflect a solid commitment to enhancing the country’s security institutions and ensuring the safety of its citizens.

He pointed out that President Tinubu has demonstrated true dedication and creativity in tackling Nigeria’s intricate security problems, emphasizing that the APC-led federal government is steadfast in its goal to protect lives and property.

“We have witnessed President Tinubu in action. He is diligently working to resolve our issues, particularly in security. I am confident that he will succeed,” Obasa stated.

The Speaker called on Nigerians to unite in support of the president, asserting that collective backing is vital for significant advancement.

“He remains the right person for the task, which is why we must provide him with all the necessary support now and as we approach 2027,” he added.

Obasa also praised APC governors for their alignment with the president’s security agenda. He urged them to further engage local residents in actively participating in efforts to fight insecurity instead of being mere bystanders.

“Security is not solely the duty of governors. It affects everyone. We all need to get involved. Supporting the president is crucial if we aim to change Nigeria’s security landscape,” he concluded.
