Ajayi says goodbye to West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion, the club Semi Ajayi plays for for the Super Eagles, has received his parting letter. With his contract due to expire at the end of next month, the Baggies released Ajayi this week.

After joining the Hawthorns in 2019 from Rotherham United, the 31-year-old stayed for six years. The center defender announced his exit from the club on social media.

It has been an amazing six years, and I am grateful to everyone associated with @WBA. Ajayi posted an Instagram message to the squad, the fans, and the staff in which he thanked everyone for welcoming him and making him feel at home. The alum of Arsenal’s youth program appeared in 177 games for Albion, tallying 13 goals and 3 assists.
