Salah Selected as Premier League’s Seasonal Player

Saturday saw the announcement of the Premier League Player of the Season, Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool.

The Reds cruised to their second championship thanks in large part to the Egyptian superstar’s 28 goals and 18 assists. After also taking home the trophy in 2017–18, Salah becomes just the fifth player in history to do it twice.

With five more goals than Alexander Isak of Newcastle United (who has scored four) going into the last day of the season, the 32-year-old is poised to earn another Golden Boot.

There has never been a player with 46 point assists in a 38-game season. At Anfield, Liverpool will face Crystal Palace, and Salah has a chance to surpass Andrew Cole’s and Alan Shearer’s 47 goals. This past month, Salah also received his third Player of the Year title from the Football Writers’ Association.
