A 45-year-old man has been detained in Germany for opening fire on Monday at a mother-and-baby shelter in Stade, near Hamburg.
The tragedy, which killed six people, was tied to a child custody battle. Four women and two men were killed while working at the residence.
Lüneburg police verified that the suspect, a German man of Turkish heritage, had an appointment at the center, where his three-month-old child lived with his mother.
