The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State is optimistic that it would defeat the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections and form the state’s next administration.
Dr Sani Muhammad Gumel, the ADC State Chairman, indicated to journalists that the APC’s control of the government will not prevent the opposition party from winning the election.
Gumel stated that the political environment in Jigawa was progressively changing, with the ADC gaining support among various types of voters throughout the state.
He stated that the party was developing its grassroots infrastructure and mobilising political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, the ADC is eyeing victory in all three senate races.
