In the city of Toretsk, Russian forces ambushed Ukrainian troops, killing several of them. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine announced this on Easter Sunday via his X account.
Zelenskyy declared: “Our warriors, unfortunately, were caught in a Russian ambush in the Toretsk direction,” but he failed to specify how many Ukrainian soldiers were slain. Tragicities have occurred.
The Ukrainian leader has stated categorically that the perpetrators of the act will undoubtedly face the consequences. He promised to eliminate the Russian forces responsible for the attack.
This news follows Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of a “Easter ceasefire” from April 19–21, which came just days before.
As of today, the war between Russia and Ukraine has lasted more than three years. In both neighboring nations, thousands of people have lost their lives
