Innocent Idibia, better known by his stage name 2Face, is a prominent musician from Nigeria. In his role as Technical Advisor for Entertainment and Community Outreach, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has unveiled five areas of focus for Idibia.
During his visit to the Government House in Makurdi on Wednesday, the musician’s appointment was announced by the governor, as reported by Naijatrial.
To kick off 2Face’s new position, the governor announced Thursday on his official Facebook page that he “will focus on several key initiatives that are close to our hearts, including: Providing guidance and support to aspiring musicians in Benue State.
Promoting and honoring our rich musical traditions, ranging from Etulo to Idoma, Igede, Tiv, and more, for both domestic and international acclaim. The goal is to work with talent managers to help the best athletes from Benue reach their full potential.
Promoting state-wide harmony, development, and unity through planning and executing yearly talent hunt events and contests.
“Acquiring financial backing from governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and corporate entities to bolster entertainment projects and offer chances to our young people, etc.”
