Three clubs were officially demoted this season

Another Premier League club has been demoted this season; Ipswich Town joins them. This comes after Saturday’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle United.

Ben Johnson received two yellow cards in the first six minutes of the game, resulting in his dismissal and reducing the Tractor Boys to ten men.

Following a foul on Jacob Murphy in the penalty area, Newcastle went ahead. It was Alexander Isak’s turn to score the penalty kick.

Just seconds after halftime, Dan Burn headed in a goal, and then Osula scored the Magpies’ first league goal. Ipswich will not be able to finish higher than 18th place after West Ham’s 2-1 victory over Brighton.

With four rounds of fixtures remaining, Kieran McKenna’s men have 21 points, while the Hammers have 36. Along with Southampton and Leicester City, Ipswich will be making an immediate return to the Championship.
