One of Nigeria’s most famous musicians, Segun Johnson, has spoken about his inspiration for music and his unique performance style. In an interview with media personality Teju BabyFace, the artist revealed his modest origins.
When asked about his foray into music, Segun Johnson revealed that he did it in response to the economic difficulties he had in Nigeria.
“Did you always want to be a musician?” Teju BabyFace inquired. On the other hand, when were you first aware that music might move people?
He spoke Yoruba and said, “Ebi ni, hunger ni” (I was driven there by hunger). There is no other option for you if you are in Nigeria.
According to Naijatrial, Segun Johnson’s “Sho Fine Gan” and “Sho ma nawo yen tan” are two of his most famous hype songs.
