According to Naijatrial, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested popular social media critic VeryDarkMan on Friday for an unspecified violation.
According to VeryDarkMan’s announcement prior to his detention, he planned to go to an Abuja GTBank branch to dispute a supposed withdrawal from his mother’s account. At the moment of this report’s publishing, it is unclear if VeryDarkMan was apprehended on the GTBank premises or outside.
Various netizens, including celebrities, have taken to social media to express their disapproval of his arrest and demand his release. In response to the news, Davido posted on X and called for VeryDarkMan’s release.
