Moroccans and Flying Eagles Split the Loot

The Group B match between Morocco and Nigeria’s Flying Eagles ended in a scoreless draw at Cairo’s Air Defence Stadium on June 30.

Throughout the encounter, neither team was able to generate many good scoring chances. Through much dominance in the first half, the Flying Eagles were unable to find the back of the net.

While Morocco dominated play after the break, they failed to test Ebenezer Harcourt, the goalkeeper, in any meaningful way.

The North Africans are still in first place of the group, tied with Nigeria on four points, but they lead thanks to a better goal differential.

Third position with three points goes to Tunisia, who earlier in the day beat Kenya 3-1. On Wednesday, the Flying Eagles will play Kenya in their last group match.
