On Friday, the Remo Stars celebrated their 2024–25 NPFL season championship with a parade through Ikenne. After a 1-0 triumph over Katsina United last month, the Sky Blue Stars were crowned the 2024/25 NPFL champions. This was the first championship for the club based in Ikenne.
In addition to being the first South-West club to win the title in over twenty years, Daniel Ogunmodede’s squad made history. In 2000, the previous South-West club to do this was Julius Berger, who is now defunct.
The colorfully decorated open-top bus parade, which showcased the club’s dedication to excellence, contributed to the joyous mood. Before reaching Ikenne, the squad traversed Sagamu and Remo North.
