I don’t let the struggle for hit songs bring me down – Kcee

Nigerian artist, Kingsley Okonkwo, better known as Kcee, has shared the secret behind his ongoing success in the music scene.

The Limpopo hitmaker explained that, unlike some of his peers who often feel disheartened when they face challenges in creating hit songs, he responds by working even harder and releasing more music during tough times.

In a recent episode of the Selah Meditate podcast, Kcee mentioned that putting out more songs boosts the likelihood of achieving a hit.

“Some of my peers might release a song, and if it doesn’t perform well, they retreat and feel down. But that’s not who I am. 50 abducted Niger Catholic school students escape, reunite with families — CAN

“I could release 22 songs, and maybe it’s the 25th that will become a hit. I don’t mind because staying consistent is crucial,” he shared.

The artist noted that he has faced numerous challenges in the music industry, but people often overlook them because he always presents himself in a vibrant manner, regardless of his circumstances. He also discussed how the power of positive thinking has influenced his life.

“When E-Money and I were living in Ajegunle, if you asked us where we resided, we would say Ikeja. We weren’t lying or pretending; we were envisioning and declaring our future.

“And that’s exactly where we ended up moving to. And we made our mark there.
