Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, stated that it was “not allowed” for the club to sell Leandro Trossard last summer.
Arteta made this statement after witnessing his team dominate Tottenham 4-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Trossard was the one who opened the scoring for the Gunners, before Eberechi Eze achieved a remarkable hat-trick.
The Belgian has been performing exceptionally well for Arsenal this summer, even though there were rumors of him leaving before the season commenced.
However, Arteta remarked: “Yes, for me, no [he wasn’t for sale in the summer], because for me, it was forbidden for him to leave. No chance.
“I recognize the player he is, and with the teammates we have, he’s someone who will make a significant impact for us.”
