Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, has dismissed Barcelona while declaring the Blues as the top contenders for the UEFA Champions League this season.
Sanchez made his comments following Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
It’s worth noting that Estevao, Liam Delap, and an own goal from Jules Kounde secured the win for Chelsea against the Blaugrana.
In an interview with Elchiringuitotv after the match, Sanchez also emphasized that his teammate Marc Cucurella had Barcelona’s winger Lamine Yamal completely under control during the game.
“Is Barça among the favorites to win the Champions League? No, I consider us the favorites,” Sanchez stated.
“Cucurella has Lamine Yamal in his pocket,” he added. Chelsea’s upcoming match is against Barcelona in the Premier League this weekend.
