Former Chelsea player, Craig Burley, has cautioned his former team ahead of their Premier League match against Arsenal this weekend.
Burley alerted the Blues that the Gunners will not replicate the performance of the Barcelona team they [Chelsea] overcame in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Remember that Enzo Maresca’s squad triumphed over the Blaugrana 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, with goals from Jules Kounde (own-goal), Estevao Willian, and Liam Delap.
“Believe it or not, a significantly improved version of Chelsea will need to show up [against Arsenal],” Burley shared with ESPN.
“Arsenal won’t play like Barcelona did tonight. In a way, that’s the real test for Chelsea, rather than the Barcelona match.
“If they manage to perform similarly against Arsenal, that would be a major statement because Arsenal are the clear favorites to win this Premier League. The real test for Chelsea is this weekend, as Arsenal presents a whole different challenge.
