The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has set a semi-final goal for Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, as reported by Naijatrial.
As per SCORENigeria, Chelle had a meeting with the NFF technical committee in Abuja on Monday, where a realistic target was established for the team.
The Malian coach has also been tasked with bringing in new talent to the squad after the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Chelle is anticipated to announce a 28-man squad for the AFCON 2025 finals this week.
The Super Eagles are placed in Group C alongside Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda. They will kick off their campaign on December 23 against Tanzania. Nigeria secured second place in the previous edition of the tournament held in Cote d’Ivoire.
