Security is a collective responsibility – Lagos Speaker, Obasa

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, emphasized that security is a shared responsibility.

Obasa made this statement during a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that took place on Saturday in Lagos.

In a statement shared with Naijatrial, Obasa pointed out that everyone should be concerned about the safety of their own surroundings.

He recognized that Nigeria is currently facing various security issues but stressed that it is essential for everyone to participate in combating insecurity in the nation.

The Speaker expressed confidence that with the backing of all Nigerians, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can effectively address the security challenges confronting the country.

He stated, “We have witnessed the president in action, innovating and diligently working to tackle our numerous challenges, particularly insecurity, and we trust he will succeed.

“He remains the person capable of achieving this. That is why we must do everything we can to ensure he is re-elected in 2027.

“It concerns us all. We must all engage in addressing this issue.

“We need to provide the President with all the support possible so that he can succeed in his efforts to steer Nigeria in a better direction.
