Onazi supports the Super Eagles in their quest for a fourth title in Morocco

Former Nigerian international, Ogenyi Onazi, is confident that the Super Eagles possess the talent needed to secure a fourth title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Naijatrial.

There are concerns about the team’s potential performance in Morocco after their failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Head coach Eric Chelle has also excluded prominent players such as Maduka Okoye, Terem Moffi, and Tolu Arokodare from his final squad for the AFCON.

Instead, Chelle has chosen to include newcomers like Salim Fago Lawal, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro.

Despite the doubts surrounding the team, Onazi is cheering for them to succeed in Morocco. Just like our team in 2013, we had many new players who made people doubt us.

“We understood the significant challenge ahead of us, and we committed to giving it our all. We managed to lift the title. I anticipate the same from this group of players,” the former Lazio star shared with Footy Africa.
