Reports reaching Naijatrial from Oyo State reveal that two radio presenters in the area have died.

The announcement of the passing of Kola Oladapo and Idowu Ogunbunmi was made on Sunday. Both individuals were employed by different media organizations in the state prior to their deaths.

Oladapo was, at the time of his passing, a member of Lagelu 96.6 FM Ibadan, located in the state capital.

On the other hand, Ogunbunmi was affiliated with Radio Nigeria FM, Oko, in the Ogbomoso geopolitical zone. Our correspondent has learned that Oladapo has been laid to rest at Sango cemetery in Ibadan.

Sources indicate that Oladapo’s burial was filled with tears, attended by family, friends, and associates on Sunday afternoon.

The management expressed that Oladapo’s passing is a tragic event. The station remarked that the late broadcaster led a life rich in purpose, passion, and genuine humanity.

The statement noted, “He was a man of many talents who carried his greatness with humility and grace, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues, friends, and listeners alike. Naijatrial has gathered that Ogunbunmi was well-regarded for his influential program on Rave FM, Osogbo.

It was reported that he made a name for himself as a dynamic voice in governance, culture, and public affairs. An associate of the deceased, Chief Peter Taiwo Ogundeji, confirmed the news of his passing.

Ogundeji characterized the late broadcaster as a unique professional, whose death signifies a significant loss to both the media industry and society as a whole.

He expressed, “I received the heartbreaking news of my brother, Mr. Idowu Ogunbunmi’s sudden death with deep shock, pain, and disbelief.”
