Ten Hag’s upcoming managerial position is official

The Bayer Leverkusen post is going to Erik ten Hag, who has managed at Manchester United and Ajax.

The departure of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid this summer will be replaced by Ten Hag. Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano found out about this.

“Bayer Leverkusen made progress in talks with Erik ten Hag to become their new head coach,” Romano wrote on X on Thursday.

Following earlier this week’s direct communication, Ten Hag has confirmed his full availability. After being let go by United in November, the Dutchman found himself unemployed.

Francesco Farioli left his position as head coach of Ajax due to “disagreements” with the club’s board of directors, prompting the Eredivisie club to attempt to rehire Ten Hag.

Although he declined to provide any details, technical director Alex Kroes did say that he had spoken with Ten Hag last weekend.
