Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reiterated his commitment to work closely with leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at all levels to fortify the party and create a robust opposition in Bauchi State.
Atiku announced this after meeting with a delegation of prominent ADC stakeholders from Bauchi, headed by Alhaji Aminu Ahmed Yapeco, Sarkin Yakin Katagum, who spoke to the press on behalf of the group post-meeting.
Atiku stated that the engagement offered a chance to assess the party’s condition in Bauchi and investigate methods to strengthen its internal structure.
He highlighted that the discussions concentrated on pinpointing deficiencies within the party’s framework and suggesting pragmatic measures to improve cohesion, efficiency, and overall efficacy.
He characterised the discussion as a component of a broader plan intended to re-establish the ADC as a legitimate and credible option that can advocate for the objectives of the people of Bauchi State.
“During this meeting, we meticulously assessed current deficiencies, and I am wholly dedicated to collaborating closely with party leaders at all levels to establish a robust, responsive, and effective opposition that genuinely reflects the interests of Bauchi citizens,” Atiku stated.
The visit highlights continuous discussions among opposition leaders as political parties enhance grassroots involvement and strengthen their frameworks in anticipation of the 2027 general elections.
