Some towns in Kwara State’s Baruten Local Government Area can be attacked by bandits at any second.
Bandits have vowed to attack Baruten towns in response to recent operations by security forces and vigilantes, according to Monday.
“The information indicates that these actors are seeking to target individuals or groups they believe were involved in past confrontations,” stated a security assessment that informed citizens and authorities about the threat.
To thwart the attempt, the report suggested increasing the number of security personnel stationed in critical areas.
Additionally, it was suggested that security agencies be put on high alert and that intelligence collecting and surveillance be ramped up.
