During an intelligence-led dawn raid in Katsina State’s Matazu Local Government Area, Sector 2 troops from raid Fansan Yamma eliminated two high-profile terrorist kingpins.
This was revealed in a statement made on X by counter-terrorism expert Zagazola Makama on Monday.
Zagazola reported that the operation took place in the early hours of Monday, August 31, 2026, following credible intelligence on the location of key members of a terrorist syndicate operating in the area.
According to him, after reaching contact with the enclave, forces battled the terrorists with superior firepower, killing two key members of the group.
