NOCRELA, the Northern Christian Religious Assembly, has proclaimed that the Christian Association of Nigeria, or CAN, will continue to serve as the umbrella group for Christians, asking Christian organisations to collaborate rather than divide.
Archbishop John Praise Daniel, NOCRELA National President, made this statement during the inauguration and investiture of the Assembly’s Niger State chapter in Minna.
Daniel, represented by the National Public Secretary, Rev. Bulus Bature Yahaya, stated that the establishment of various Christian groups was welcome as long as they supplemented CAN’s efforts.
According to him, “NOCRELA is not another organization that is in competition with CAN; rather, it is a movement that complements the operations of CAN as our umbrella body.”
