Sarah Ivie Adidi has received the support of the six FCT APC geopolitical zone chairmen in her bid to represent the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during the 2027 general election.
The meeting in Abuja brought together party officials, grassroots mobilisers, and other important stakeholders, who discussed the constituency’s political future and the importance of good representation, leading to this development.
During their remarks, the zonal chairmen praised Adidi’s leadership abilities and praised her as an honest politician who has a plan for more inclusive government.
Her rise to prominence, they said, is evidence of the party faithful’s will to back a candidate who can meet the varied demands of their constituents.
Usman Mohamed, the AMAC Chairman of the APC Forum North Central, spoke on behalf of the group, highlighting Adidi’s promise to fight for the rights of non-indigenous people in the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
He pointed out that this group makes up a sizable chunk of the population and has, for some time, needed more national representation.
He stated that Adidia is qualified to fill the current vacancies in representation and give a platform to all members of the constituency because of her history of community service and her grassroots-driven political philosophy.
The zonal chairmen emphasised the significance of unity and joint action in ensuring that the APC wins the upcoming elections and urged party members and inhabitants of the constituency to support Adidi’s candidature.
Adidi responded by thanking the zonal chairmen for their support and encouragement, which she interpreted as a validation of her goals and commitment to public service.
The candidate stated her intention to seek policies that encourage development, inclusivity, and fair representation for all people, irrespective of their background or origin.
Successful representation, in her view, must stem from an enduring commitment to the people. “You cannot lead in isolation,” she remarked, emphasising the importance of feedback and collaboration in decision-making to ascertain that community demands are truly reflected in policies and activities.
When campaigning for office, Adidi promised to make sure that everyone’s opinions in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were taken seriously, particularly those of non-indigenous people.
Additionally, she pledged to depend on the assistance and direction of her constituents in order to successfully traverse the political terrain.
I accept that I have much to learn about politics and am eager to collaborate with the people. She emphasised that by working together, significant advancements may be made.
In her call for help, Adidi asked locals to come along on what she called a “collective journey” toward better and more representative government.
