Solomon Wombo, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Logo-Ukum-Katsina Ala Federal Constituency, has revealed that 22 dead had been found as a result of an attack on Mbaterem towns in Benue State’s Ukum LGA.
Armed herders reportedly attacked the settlements of Ayaba, Ukpen, Bom, Abaoajio, and Yina at 5 a.m. on Sunday, killing several inhabitants and injuring others.
In a statement, Wombo condemned the killings as inhuman, unjustifiable, and unacceptable, as well as the violence against affected communities.
