The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has summoned Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, for questioning.
Malami shared this news on his Facebook page on Friday, confirming that he had received an official invitation from the anti-corruption agency.
“I want to let my family and friends know that the EFCC has summoned me to clarify certain issues, and as a law-abiding and patriotic citizen, I am committed to responding to this invitation without delay,” he stated.
The ex-minister emphasized his dedication to the values of honesty, integrity, and accountability, which he claims have guided him throughout his public service career.
“I firmly believe in the significance of honesty, integrity, and accountability in governance; these are values I have consistently supported and upheld during my years in public service,” he continued.
Malami also mentioned that he would keep the public updated on any developments related to the invitation.
At the time of this report, the EFCC had not revealed the specific matters for which he was summoned.
