Demola Olarenwaju, the Senior Political Assistant to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, asserted on Thursday that President Bola Tinubu is the individual orchestrating the turmoil in Osun State.
Olarenwaju, meanwhile, observed that Adeleke lacks the courage to designate Tinubu as the source of the state’s turmoil.
His remark arises during the dispute between the Osun State administration and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, regarding the immobilised bank accounts.
The EFCC asserted that its actions were not aimed at any individual, emphasising that some bank accounts were frozen to prevent the misappropriation of cash.
Olarenwaju stated on X: “Tinubu orchestrates the disturbances in Osun State, and if Gov. Adeleke lacks the courage to identify him, he ought to refrain from any public deference or subservience until the elections conclude and the will of the Osun populace triumphs over APC next Saturday.”
Public evidence indicates that the EFCC operates under the influence and guidance of Bola Tinubu, potentially to be wielded against opposition figures in the future.
This aligns with Tinubu’s argument that ‘everything is fair in politics,’ yet contradicts democratic principles.
