that four Senate members have formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senators Ikra Bilbis of Zamfara Central, Aminu Iya Abbas of Adamawa Central, Amos Yohanna of Adamawa North, and Ipalibo Harry Banigo of Rivers West represent their respective senatorial districts.
Their defections were formally announced during Wednesday’s plenary session, when Senate President Godswill Akpabio read their notices from the floor.
this comes after four members of the House of Representatives defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The legislators said that their defection was motivated by internal conflicts in their former party.
