Real Arsenal great Thierry Henry has praised Geovany Quenda, who signed for Chelsea for £44 million, calling him a “fearless” player.
Quenda is a “special” player, and Henry has stated that he is a fan of hers.
Even though the 18-year-old Quenda made his debut under now-Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, Chelsea won the race to sign him. Manchester United was also interested in signing him. He has had an outstanding start to the season and will stay at Sporting CP until next summer.
With a goal and an assist in Sporting’s 4-1 Champions League opener against Kairat Almaty, he has contributed to five goals in seven games.
Henry declared himself a “huge fan” of Quenda and expressed his admiration for the adolescent.
He made it clear to CBS: “He’s special.” I admire the way he approaches his work.
“As one would expect from a child, he is fearless. Football analysts and fans have drawn parallels between Quenda and Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal.
