Tito Harrison, a veteran of the Nigerian film industry, has spoken up about his struggles with a liver disease and ulcer, which ultimately rendered him financially and physically unable to work.
Harrison was very forthcoming on Biola Bayo’s podcast about his struggles to pay for medical bills; he even went so far as to sell his home, vehicles, and possessions before he moved in with his mother-in-law.
The seasoned actor stressed that his wife was the one constant in his life during his lowest points. He remembered how she stuck by his side through thick and thin, and he praised her as his greatest gift.
When everyone else abandoned me, my wife remained by my side as I battled liver disease and a chronic ulcer. Having a good wife is a blessing. To cover my medical expenses, I had to sell my home, car, and everything else I owned.
We ended up staying at my mother-in-law’s residence because I was unable to afford the rent after moving into a rented house. “My wife is the one I will marry if I return to this world,” he declared. Harrison was also upset that his fellow actors made fun of him in public rather than helped him through his tough times.
