The matter involving the Islamic scholar Sheikh Abdukadir Sani Zaria, who was apprehended by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) in relation to the purported plot to depose President Bola Tinubu’s administration, has been presented to the Federal High Court in Abuja for prosecution.
A group of bodyguards and associates of his were present when he appeared in court.
The federal government has filed a charge sheet and Sani, who has been in custody of the DIA and subsequently the DSS since December 2025, is one of six coup plotters. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court today, Wednesday.
