Wasiu Ayinde, well known by his stage name Kwam1, is a well-known Fuji musician from Nigeria. He recently criticized Ayinla Kollington, a senior colleague and mentor of his, for failing to return his favor.
According to Naijatrial, Kwam1’s mother passed away on January 18, 2025, and her burial took place on the same day as per Islamic rituals.
On the other hand, Kwam1 detailed his support of Kollington at his mother’s death and his handling of the family’s finances in an angry interview with Agbaletu Radio’s On Air Personality, OAP Bamidele Adeyanju. He vented his frustrations by accusing Kollington of paying him back in an unpleasant way.
In regards to Alhaji Kollington’s lack of empathy and support over the loss of Kwam1’s mother, Kwam1 expressed intense anger. When it was time to lay his mother to rest, I stood by his side.
To give his mother a proper funeral, I stood by him. A number of dignitaries, including governors, were invited to the funeral, and I was entirely responsible for managing the finances.
You can see how he made amends. In light of all I done for him, what may have transpired? My mom passed away while he was in Nigeria, seemingly healthy. His only justification was that he tried to reach out to me, but I didn’t answer. Should I not be furious?
