The Lagos State Government has increased its efforts to enhance garbage management across the state by purchasing over 200 compactor vehicles and advising residents not to patronise unregistered cart pushers.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the news during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise held at FESTAC in the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area.
Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State; his wife, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat; and other stakeholders took part in the exercise.
