Malami was re-arrested by the DSS in Kuje jail following payment of bail conditions

The Department of State Services (DSS) has detained Abubakar Malami, who was the former Attorney-General of the Federation.

Shortly after the former minister completed his bail conditions and was released from Kuje Prison, he was taken by DSS officers.

According to what  has learnt, the secret police have reopened their investigation into the former attorney general.

His rural residence in Kebbi was searched by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who allegedly found weapons inside.

According to current allegations, the former AGF was planning to be re-arrested from Kuje Prison by the DSS.

On Wednesday, a bail of ₦500 million each was granted to Malami, his wife, and their kid by a Federal High Court, with two sureties.

The ex-minister, however, said in a statement released by Mohammed Bello Doka, his Special Assistant on Media, that the DSS was monitoring the prison in an effort to re-arrest him.
