To improve administration and strengthen grassroots participation, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has authorized the hiring of a Special Adviser, multiple Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), and Special Assistants (SAs) in various important portfolios.
Prosecutor-General of Press Affairs at the Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, and Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, issued a statement Thursday announcing the appointments.
Njodi claims that the move is in line with the governor’s plans to increase cooperation, encourage public participation, and include local stakeholders in the development program.
Abubakar Abdullahi, better known by his stage name Habun DK, has been appointed as a special adviser on agriculture and farmer-herder coordination, an important position.
Senior Special Assistants II on Community Relations will be Hajiya Hannatu M. Ibrahim and Mrs. Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke, while Senior Special Assistants II on Public Communications will be Alhaji Muhammad Saleh Jauro (Jauro Hammadu).

As per Njodi’s statement, all appointments are effective as of May 22, 2025.
In a statement, Governor Yahaya reaffirmed his faith in the new appointees, praising their professionalism, integrity, and commitment to serving the people of Gombe State.
