The Sokoto State Police Command has expressed sadness over the death of Inspector Adamu Isah, who reportedly fell while participating in the command’s weekly walkathon activity on Wednesday.
Isah, an officer with the Department of Operations, was claimed to have fainted at the command headquarters after returning from an exercise.
DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, the Police Public Relations Officer, said in a statement on Thursday that the officer was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment, but physicians later confirmed his death.
In response to the tragedy, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Shaffa, termed Isah’s death as a devastating loss for the command.
