This summer, Chelsea are reportedly close to signing striker Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.
As the details of the long-term contract are being finalised with Delap’s agents, football transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea is nearing a deal for the player.
Word on the street is that Chelsea’s run to the UEFA Champions League was the deciding factor.
Now the Blues are about to trigger the £30 million release clause that Ipswich Town put in the player’s contract. In regards to the player’s signature, Chelsea is now awaiting official word from Ipswich Town.
