The All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised the people of Nigeria for sticking together during what it described as temporary hardships.
While the nation commemorates Democracy Day in 2025 on June 12, party national publicity secretary Felix Morka made the announcement Thursday in Abuja.
By stating their complete backing for President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives, the APC reiterated their dedication to democratic values.
The current government is implementing democratic policies to improve the economy, stability, health, and safety of all Nigerians, and democratic governance is still the greatest way to solve Nigeria’s problems.
The people of Nigeria deserve praise for sticking with President Tinubu’s administration through the temporary storms they’ve encountered.
“With clear indications of an improving economy and the President’s determination to address the causes of our national problems, we wholeheartedly support his administration’s courageous endeavours to create a better future for every Nigerian,” Morka stated.
Democracy Day, according to the APC spokesman, is a cause for national pride because the country is working to strengthen democracy and lay the groundwork for prosperity for decades to come. According to him, it gives people the best chance to exercise their freedom to choose their own leaders.
When compared to other forms of government, he believes that democracy, at its core, offers the strongest guarantee of individual rights and the rule of law.
Morka also thanked his fellow countrymen for their bravery, determination, and love of country as they fought to free Nigerians from dictatorship, repressive military rule, and arbitrary ruling.
As the nation celebrated Democracy Day, he spoke about President Tinubu, a visionary leader and one of the bravest, most tenacious advocates for democracy in Nigeria.
According to the APC spokesperson, Tinubu is a fearless reformer who has led the country to overcome long-standing structural obstacles to progress.
He claims that the increased minimum salary, easier access to student loans, and better healthcare are all results of Tinubu’s policies that aim to promote economic and social inclusivity.
He emphasised that the government had fulfilled its goal of giving local governments more financial independence and that states had received more funding from the federal government.
