President Bola Tinubu has referred to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as one of the bright stars in my cabinet while celebrating his birthday.
In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga,
Special Adviser to the President on Friday, President Tinubu extended his congratulations to Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, on his birthday, commending his bravery, resilience, and dedication to service.
The President expressed gratitude to God for Wike’s life, noting that it has been characterized by purpose, service, and bravery. He portrayed the FCT Minister as a bold leader who consistently achieves results despite facing challenges.
President Tinubu emphasized the ongoing transformation of Abuja under Wike’s guidance, especially his involvement in resolving the 14-year stalemate regarding the construction of the Apo–Karshi road.
He remarked that Wike’s achievements have further validated his long-standing reputation as “Mr Project,” highlighting that this title is no longer confined to his home state of Rivers.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the bright stars in the cabinet, an outstanding performer, enhancing infrastructure in the Federal capital like never before and demonstrating that his nickname as ‘Mr Project’ extends beyond his home state of Rivers.
“I applaud him for being one of the advocates of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he is from a different party, and I wish him well as he celebrates another year in his life journey.”
The President expressed appreciation to the Minister for his unwavering efforts in enhancing infrastructure and governance in the FCT and wished him good health and the strength to continue his important work.
