The Gunners completed their preparations for the 2025/26 season by defeating Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the Emirates Cup on Saturday.
After suffering back-to-back losses to Tottenham Hotspur and Villarreal in earlier preseason games, Arsenal aimed to bounce back.
They started the match strongly, with Viktor Gyökeres and Bukayo Saka securing a two-goal advantage in the first half.
Gyökeres scored with a header from Martin Zubimendi’s powerful cross, while Saka found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Gabriel Martinelli.
Kai Havertz, returning from a minor injury and starting on the bench, came on to net a third goal with an impressive solo effort.
Arsenal is set to begin their Premier League campaign next Sunday with a significant match against Manchester United.
