My Triumph for Benue, Nigeria – Ordega

‘Super Falcons star and five-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) champion, Francisca Mlumun Ordega, has dedicated her recent continental achievement to “Benue and Nigeria,” emphasizing that it is a collective victory rather than a personal accomplishment.

The celebration occurred on Thursday evening at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House in Makurdi, where Governor Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia hosted a grand dinner in her honour.

Praising Ordega as “a shining example” and “an inspiration to every young girl in Benue and beyond,” Governor Alia commended her steadfast commitment to sports and her remarkable ability to consistently bring pride to both the state and the nation.

“We are singing the shared national anthem of victory alongside one of our own, whom God has chosen to represent us and bring honour to our land,” the governor stated, urging parents to support their daughters in pursuing careers in sports.
