Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has made it to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) group stage Best XI for the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Naijatrial.
Lookman has solidified his reputation as one of Africa’s top players with outstanding performances in Nigeria’s first two matches against Tanzania and Tunisia.
The Atalanta winger has already scored two goals and provided two assists in Morocco.
Naijatrial also notes that Lookman was part of the Team of the Tournament during the last AFCON held in Cote d’Ivoire.
The host nation, Morocco, has two players – Noussair Mazraoui and Brahim Diaz – featured in the team. Other notable stars included in the selection are Sadio Mané (Senegal), Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast), and Riyad Mahrez (Algeria).
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has been recognized as the best coach of the group stage.
