The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Adamawa State rescued two kids whose parents had supposedly left them for dead.
The state’s Yola South Local Government Area is allegedly the location of the abandoned building where the two children, ages one and two, were left.
During a press briefing with journalists in Yola, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Nyako Amidu Baba, revealed the news, saying that the youngsters were found sobbing in the middle of the night after being allegedly taken inside the premises and left alone.
Baba claims that NSCDC agents sprung into action to save the kids when a worried local person sounded the alarm.
The youngsters have been placed in protective custody, according to Nyako, and attempts are ongoing to find their parents.
He went on to say that Idris Bande, the commandant of the state’s NSCDC, has ordered the police to step up their efforts to find the parents and get them back together safely.
