Atiku Abubakar’s media adviser and spokesman for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr. Paul Ibe, has called for President Bola Tinubu to step down due to the government’s inaction on national security.
During his Tuesday appearance on Prime Time on Arise Television, Ibe stated that protecting the safety and well-being of one’s citizenry should be a government’s top priority.
He asserted that 879 individuals had died and over 300 others were still in custody, implying that the security situation in Nigeria is worse now than it was in 2023.
He claimed the numbers showed the extent of the country’s instability and called them worrying.
On top of that, Ibe said the government’s attempts to fix the problem weren’t working and that the nation couldn’t keep using a “trial and error” strategy for leadership.
Let me explain to you why President Tinubu should step down, he declared. Safety and well-being are the fundamental functions of government. Is our level of security higher now than it was in 2023? This is not the case.
The official tally is 879 casualties, with approximately 300 still held captive. I find those numbers quite disturbing. Just like that, our insecurity is all over the place.
“The actions taken by the government are inadequate. This path of trial and error cannot continue, you know. Actually, Tinubu is completely ignorant and unqualified.
