Atiku Abubakar, a presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has accused President Bola Tinubu of encouraging his chief of staff to participate in more sinful activities.
Following Gbajabiamila’s nomination as chairman of the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill, Atiku made the announcement through his media aide, Paul Ibe.
He said the appointment proved that Tinubu directing the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, to probe the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, PFIPC, is a ruse.
That Tinubu launched the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill and named Gbajabiamila its chairman.
This occurred on the very same day that the president directed the ICPC to investigate the highly contentious PFIPC issue, in which Gbajabiamila was profoundly implicated.
“It seems like Tinubu is encouraging Gbajabiamila to go sin more based on his actions,” Atiku responded.
This proved that the ICPC inquiry into the purportedly “fake” PFIPC probe launched by Tinubu is just that—a smokescreen.
The appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila as Chairman of the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill by the President on the same day that he urged the ICPC to investigate the #GbajaGate scandal is an immoral show of support for his Chief of Staff, who is facing accusations of accepting bribes for his position from Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, the central figure in the PFIPC scandal.
“And to add insult to injury, the Chief of Staff was the one who, on behalf of the President, inaugurated the Working Group.”
