The recent suicide attack in Konduga Local Government Area by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists has been denounced by Babagana Umara Zulum, the governor of Borno State.
In response to the most recent assault on civilians, Zulum expressed his disapproval in a statement that his media aide, Dauda Iliya, made accessible to reporters.
Yesterday at approximately 10 o’clock, 12 persons were killed and 18 others were injured in an attack that targeted a night fish market, according to the statement.
A threat to our common humanity, these terrorists’ “barbaric acts” are “an assault on our shared humanity,” Zulum added.
“This is an awful and savage effort to make people afraid and weaken our ability to stand together,” he continued. Terrorists will not be able to intimidate the resiliency of the Borno people.
Community cooperation is crucial in the fight against insurgency, Zulum emphasised, and he urged the people of Borno to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity to security officials.
The governor conveyed his deepest sympathies to the victims’ families, reiterating that the suffering of the good people of Borno is universal.
In order to make sure that everyone is safe and stop any such assaults, he also reminded the public that the government is cooperating closely with security forces.
